Reminds me of The Rock...

What do you get when you mix Asheville, NC and New York City? It might look something like San Francisco, my new favorite little place. Let’s hope more people get married out there so I can visit again.

PS. Congrats Ellie and Henning!

On Monday I’ll be making my triumphant return to the stage in Joshua Conkel’s gothic soap opera Sinking Hearts: Episode One. Sinking Hearts is written in the tradition of Dark Shadows, Twin Peaks, and True Blood, except bigger, better, and funnier. See above video for inspiration. I’ll be playing Chuck Nagel, a Naval Officer and husband of the protagonist Misty Nagel (played by Conkel). The rumor is I’ll have a sick moustache. Pictures coming soon.

The play is super fun with hopefully more episodes to follow. NY Press has already named it a Critic’s Pick….and if they say it, it must be true.

Cry on Cue at Capital Fringe

Cry on Cue is one of the first things I ever wrote. It’s a ten-minute piece about a female photographer that has to take pictures of her ex-boyfriend crying as part of a commission. It was a lot of fun to write, something I really enjoyed working on….and then basically I forgot about it.

Well, now it’s back DC Fringe-style featuring Amal Saade in a show called Equilibrium. Show will get five performances at Bus Boys & Poets next week. Great to have this play off the shelf and on a stage.
